Below, we describe the steps for application in what we hope will be an informative and fun process for your family.

1 Please review these materials

The resources below are intended to spark imagination, inspire questions, and serve as a starting point for deeper conversations throughout the admissions process. While they don’t exactly represent our program, they offer a glimpse into what’s possible for students beyond conventional educational settings. Whether your family is coming from a traditional school, a homeschooling background, or a less structured educational setting, these resources can help you imagine new pathways for your child’s education.

2Take A Peek Inside

After you’ve looked over our website, completed the Required Resources above and reviewed some of the Optional Resources, we invite you to visit us.

Family Admissions Checklist & Application

  • Let your student(s) create one 3-minute family video interviewing each family member (young & old, including themselves), answering the question: “What project would you do if you had unlimited resources, including money, time, space, etc.?” Remember to let your student take the reins as much as possible in creating the video.
  • Submit a sample of your students’ writing (creative writing, poetry, etc.).
  • Submit pictures or a video of a recent project/assignment of which your student is proud.
  • Submit homeschooling information or request School Records via the application.
  • Request STEM and Humanities Teacher Evaluations via the application, or
  • Request two Personal References (required for students without Teacher Evaluations).
  • Submit your application fee. The Priority Admissions Deadline Fee is $175, the Final Admissions Deadline Fee is $200.

4Shadow Day Experience

  • Students who successfully complete the application review will be invited to participate in a Shadow Day, where they can experience a typical day in the life of a Studio Prep student. Our Admissions Team will contact you with available dates and additional details.

5Complete the Family Interview

The final step in the admissions process is an in-person Family Interview. Following the Student Shadow Day, we will reach out to schedule a time for your family to meet with our team.
