Key Components of the High School Program:
- Holistic, Learner-Centered Approach
- Safe and Supportive Diverse Community
- Intentional, In-Depth Learning
- Meaningful, Real-World Connections
- Leadership Through Service
- Parental Support
At Studio Prep, our High School program is intentionally designed to shape the people our students become. The heart of this experience is our four-year Leadership Quest, where students explore their unique gifts, interests, and what it means to live a meaningful life. Real-world projects and experiences help students develop leadership skills rooted in wisdom and humility.
Our learner-centered approach empowers students to actively participate in and take ownership of their education. Rather than covering many topics superficially, we dive deeply into fewer topics, giving students time to make meaningful connections and integrate their learning into life beyond the classroom.
Studio Prep educators serve as wise guides, modeling humility, curiosity, and openness to learning from mistakes. We embrace diversity—economic, ethnic, cultural, and neurodiverse—not just as differences in appearance, but as opportunities to include and learn from diverse perspectives. This prepares our students to navigate and succeed in a complex world with humility and understanding.
Studio Prep intentionally cultivates critical soft skills highly sought by employers, addressing current workplace challenges identified among Gen Z employees. Our students develop marketable skills across several key areas:
Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Effective communication, active listening, appropriate interactions, dealing with difficult situations.
Professionalism & Work Ethic: Taking initiative, meeting deadlines, motivation, working collaboratively.
Critical & Ethical Thinking: Ethical thinking, distinguishing accurate information, adaptability.
Our goal is for Studio Prep graduates to become highly valued employees or innovative entrepreneurs who create exceptional products and services people enjoy.
