Class Options

Students will choose two enrichment classes for the semester:

  • Sports & Games

    • This class is all about movement, teamwork, and fun! Students will explore a wide variety of sports and playground-style games, with a focus on skill-building, inclusive play, and creativity. From modified basketball and soccer to classic group games like Sharks & Minnows and Ultimate Frisbee, every session is designed to meet students at their level and help them grow.
    • Each class includes a warm-up, skill drills, and a game or scrimmage tailored to the age group. The goal is to help students develop coordination, communication, confidence, and a lifelong love for movement—all while having a blast.
    • Great for: elementary through high school students, beginner to advanced skill levels.
  • General Art

    • Students will take a deep dive into the elements of art (line, shape, color, value, texture,
form and space) and principles of design (pattern, contrast, emphasis, movement,
balance, proportion and unity) with this curriculum, using their own student sketchbooks
to keep track of their progress. Books/stories will also be utilized throughout the
curriculum to help reinforce concepts being taught.
  • Clay

    • Students learn how to sculpt and mold different creations each week, making special
details with clay tools and coating their creation with Mod Podge spray at the end, if they
choose. From mythical creatures to realistic animals, there is no limit to what you can
learn to create from Model Magic air-dried clay.

  • Stop Motion Animation

    • Students will make basic stop motion animations using materials we gather from our everyday lives.
Using our understanding of frame by frame animation we will bring characters and
environments to life. Equipment needed that each students should bring each week to
class: a smart phone with stop motion pro free version downloaded, a tripod for phone,
objects from home like fabric, card or paper, leaves, twigs, pebbles, lego, toys etc. glue,
